Three days exploring Van Don Island district:

Overview :

Van Don is an island district which is 50km from Ha Long (Quang Ninh province). It comprises two main island complexes: Ke Bao and Van Hai with hundreds of island spreading within the beautiful bay of Bai Tu Long. Van Don embeds Bai Tu Long Bay – the amazing geologic – geomorphic values and the ecological diversification make the island complex as splendid and marvelous as Ha Long Bay complex. Van Don possesses a grandiose natural landscape with many beautiful beaches (like Quan Lan, Ngoc Vung) and mysterious grottoes which have grasped the attention of domestic as well as foreign tourists. Van Don is not only known as a cruise and water related attraction with more than 600 islands of different sizes and interesting beauty spots, but it also attracts tourists for its historical and cultural value (this had once been one of Vietnam’s most developed commercial port).

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Van Don (Quang Ninh)

06.00 am: Depart from Hanoi to Van Don – Quang Ninh.

Arrive at Van Don and check in hotel

11.30 am: Have lunch

In the afternoon: Join in activities organized by the tour guide. Then you are free to explore and take a sunbath on the beach at Bai Dai (Long beach).

06.30 pm: Have dinner and enjoy local specialties

In the evening: Stroll and walk on small paths in casuarina forest for relaxation and exploration

Day 2: Van Don _Bai Tu Long

After having breakfast, prepare food and necessary things for a cruise

08.00 am: Get on a boat of fisherman and depart for catching fishes. You will observe and directly join in the fish catching process. This trip will bring about a special feeling which can only be found in such place.

Have lunch on boat. The meal is prepared from what’s you have got during the short cruise trip

In the afternoon: Come back to hotel and free to relax

06.30 pm: Have dinner at hotel

In the evening, gather around the cozy camp-fire and enjoy local dishes like roasted sweet potatoes, corn and enjoy the performances presented by members in the group.
