Visit Perfume Pagoda from Hanoi Take an active activity from Hanoi to the Perfume Pagoda - one of the most important Buddhist sites in Vietnam. Every spring, thousands of pilgrims come to the Perfume Pagoda to pray for the health and prosperity for the coming year. The pagoda itself is built into limestone cliffs and can only be reached by boat and foot as there are no roads into this area. Coming here, visitors seem to be free from all tiredness and sorrow. However, they visit Perfume Pagoda not only because of their believes but also because of breathtaking landscape of this area. Pagodas with mysterious atmosphere, streams flow windingly through limestone mountains and many beautiful caves surelt make your tour the most impressive one. Departing from Hanoi, you will have a two-hour drives through the picturesque Vietnamese countryside and back roads to the village of Duc for some refreshments before boarding the boat for a 1.5-hour ride along the scenic Yen River. Your tour continues with a one-hour walk to the Thien Tru Pagoda (Heavens Kitchen) and the Perfume Cave and Pagoda. Vietnamese lunch will be served at one of the little food stalls near Thien Tru Pagoda. On your return to Hanoi, you will visit Giai Oan Stream and Tuyet Son Pagoda. Then, the boat will take you back to land for the drive back to Hanoi.

Itinerary
  • 8:00: Pick up from the hotel for departure, 2 hours drive though rice paddy fields and typical countryside scenery of Vietnam.

 

Arrive at the Duc harbor and enjoy 2 hours boat trip along Yen stream. It is time for you to relax and enjoy the rural stunning scenery. Here lies Ngu Nhac Mountain, there stand Hoi Bridge, Dun and Voi Phuc (Prostrating Elephant) mountains.

 

  • PM: Walk up to the main pagoda cave named Huong Tich that is recognized as the most beautiful cave in the region.

 

Visit and pray to Vietnamese Buddha then head down hill for lunch.

 

Visit Thien Tru temple and back by boat to our bus.

 

Arrive in Hanoi about 6:30 pm
