Day 1: Lao Cai - Sapa - Cat Cat – Sapa (L/D)
You will be picked up from Lao Cai station to Sapa. Check-in hotel to have a shower and relax. Now you have time to walk around Sapa town to see some small markets in the area.
In the afternoon, you take a short trekking tour to Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’Mong people. H'Mong is one of the biggest and poorest minority group in Sapa. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. Return to Sapa town. Stay overnight at Cat Cat hotel.

Day 2: Sapa – Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B/L/D)
After breakfast in the hotel, we start with 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa alongside Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village, trek 2 km down to Lao Chai village - a village of black H’Mong ethnic group. In this village you will have a welcome feeling at any house of the hospitable people. You can interact them, learn about their culture and customs. On the way, you will stopover for lunch and relax.
In the afternoon, you continue your trek to Ta Van village to visit Zay people. Zay is fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green. Dinner and stay overnight on stilt house.

Day 3: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (B/L).
Today we will spend time to walk to Giang Ta Chai village where you can see Red Dao people. The women of Red Dao have very colorful red embroideries and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eye brows because a hairless face is considered by the the Red Dao people to be very beautiful.
Stop over for lunch. A Jeep pick you up from Giang Ta Chai to Sapa. Check-in hotel to take a shower. Car will take you to train station. Ensding the trip exploring the life of ethnic minority peoples in Sapa.
