How to get to Binh Thuan

National Highway 1A linking Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City passes Phan Thiet City. All vehicles going north or south along the coasts pass through the city. Therefore, it is easy and convenient to reach this city.

Train

Phan Thiet is served by Muong Man Station, about 12 kilometers outside town. From there you can board a train to Saigon or Hanoi. If you decide to arrive by train, call ahead to your hotel or your travel agency and arrange to have someone pick you up at Muong Man Station (3km from Muong Man Station). It takes you 5 hours to travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet by train.

Car/Motorcycle

There is no airport in Phan Thiet, so the only way to get there is by road or rail from Ho Chi Minh City or Nha Trang. The fastest way to get to Phan Thiet is to hire a private car and driver in Ho Chi Minh City. It takes you about 3 – 4 hours to transfer from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, depending on traffic, weather and your driver.

There are daily buses departing for Phan Thiet to Bien Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Long Khanh and Mui Ne.

If you travel to Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet City from Ho Chi Minh City, you can start your journey at Mien Dong Bus Station.

To travel around in Phan Thiet City, you can rent a bike or motorbike for your convenience. If you are an adventurous traveler, you are suggested to rent a motorcycle.

Besides, cyclos and motorbike-taxi are available in downtown Phan Thiet with the price of about 40,000 VND for one hour and 3,000 VND/km respectively.
