Con Dao possesses great potential in developing tourism, seafood processing, navigation and petrol. The long coastline with many beautiful beaches like Dat Doc, Bai Canh, Dam Trau, Hon Tre, Hon Cau, etc. and a National Park with many precious species of flora and fauna have  bring about much advantage to this area. Con Dao has an all-year-round fresh living environment with the average temperature of 26-27 ^oC. The fishing activity here becomes more bustling since there are more and more enclosing services. There is time when thousands of ships from different provinces stay at the port of Con Dao. The number of tourists coming to Con Dao has increased much.
