Join in a short tour around West Lake Hanoi comprises a large number of lakes, among which West Lake is the largest one. West Lake is located in the north of Hanoi city center with the total area of about 500 hectares. It was a relaxation place for the Kings during Vietnam’s former dynasties in the past. Today, West Lake has become a well-known attraction of Hanoi since it provides various kinds of activities. You can take part in a boat trip around West Lake to experience many beauty spots and relics (Nghi Tam village with a pagoda of special architecture style, Kim Lien pagoda; Nhat Tan, the village of peach flower and other villages with their own traditional features). Along with Truc Bach Lake, West Lake (the two lakes are divided by Thanh Nien Street, which is Co Ngu Street in the past) has made Hanoi City more poetic and charming.

  • You may depart from your hotel to visit West Lake by taxi in the morning (7.30am) or in the afternoon (2.00pm).

  • If you are interested in sightseeing, you can visit Tran Quoc Pagoda (formerly, it is Khai Quoc Pagoda built in the Pre-Ly dynasty). This is one of the most antique pagodas in Vietnam with the architecture and sculpture style of 19th century. Relax yourself in the peaceful and fresh atmosphere there. You can stroll around the pagoda to explore its antique beauty with many beautiful Buddha statues.

 

  • Then you can take a swan-shaped boat to travel around West Lake. This is a service provided to tourists visiting the lake.

 

  • If you want to experience the art of tasting, West Lake is definitely a good place since there are many delicious dishes for you to enjoy. Around West Lake, there are a lot of small restaurants providing certain kinds of food like “Pho cuon”, “Banh Tom” and many coffee bars.

 

  • There are coffee bars from which you can have an overall view of West Lake. Sipping your coffee cup and enjoying the sunset would be an amazing experience.
