Hue Transportation

By air

Phu Bai Airport is 12km from the city centre of Hue. There are daily flights connecting Hue to Hanoi (3 flights/day on average, it can be more than 3 flights/day on Festival days) and Ho Chi Minh City (more than 3 flights/day). All of these flights are served by Vietnam Airlines.

From Phu Bai Airport, tourists can reach the city centre of Hue by catching a taxi or airport mini-bus.

There are airport 12-seat mini-buses with air-conditioned available at Phu Bai Taxi to transfer tourists from airport to the city center and vice versa. After 15 minutes on bus, tourists will get into Hue center. The transfer fee for one passenger is 45,000 VND.

By Train

Hue Railway Station is located in the center of Hue City, so it is very convenient for tourists if traveling to Hue City by train.

There are daily trains from Hanoi to Hue, which can be listed as SE1, SE3, SE5, and SE7 … It takes about 12 to 13 hours to travel from Hanoi to Hue by train.

Tourists are highly suggested to travel on SE1 and SE3 (from Hanoi) and SE2 and SE4 (from Ho Chi Minh City) because these trains depart in the evening, so tourists can save time by sleeping at nigh on the train.
