How to get to Con Dao

From Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau, tourists can go by air, boat, bus, etc.

By Air: You can transfer to Con Dao directly from Ho Chi Minh City or from Vung Tau to Con Dao by getting air tickets at Vietnam Airline Service Company (Vasco)

Vietnam Air Service Company offers seven weekly return flights from Ho Chi Minh to Con Dao. There are also direct flights from Vung Tau to Con Dao (helicopters available on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday).

By boat: Tourists can transfer from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau and vice versa. Then take a boat from Vung Tau to Con Dao.

Vina Express Company offers hydrofoils from Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa.

Vietnamese navy provides direct boats from Vung Tau to Con Dao Island, which take about 12-14 hours. They depart from Cat Lo Pier and transfer to Ben Dam Pier. Besides, there are ships, which transfer between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao Island (1-8 trips per month)

Taxi are also available from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau City. You can travel to Vung Tau and travel around Vung Tau by taxi. But it is not available in Con Dao.
