Itinerary
  • 7:30 am: Depart from your hotel in Chau Doc.

 

  • Start the trip by taking a ride cruising to the floating village (fish farm) and Cham minority village. Here tourists have chance to visit the weaving workshop which makes traditional wares (sarongs and towels).

 

  • Then, come back to Chau Doc for Chua Xu Lady’s temple and cave pagoda at the foot of Sam Mountain.

 

  • The next destination will be Sam Mountain - the highest mountain in the Mekong Delta. On the way there, you can admire the scenery of the two rice fields along the road, and drop by for a short time at a small Khmer village. Tourists will have a short walk up on the mountain side to experience the daily life of mountain people.

 

  • At noon, have lunch on the way. Take a rest before continuing a day trip in Chau Doc.

 

  • 2:00 pm: Afternoon is time for mountain trekking onto Tuc Dup (the Two Million Dollar Hill) is a bold hill deep in the Mekong Delta where between late 1968 and early 1969 were defended against overwhelming odds. Tourists are freely to explore around the hidden caves interconnected by a labyrinth of natural tunnels and paths, underground meeting rooms, hospital, living quarters, stores and command H.Q. (most have been fully restored).

 

  • After that, head back for Sam Mountain to admire the grand view of the Mekong Delta from the peak, and enjoy watching the sunset towards Cambodia.

 

  • Come back to Chau Doc in the late afternoon.
